The Original Idea

Today is not only Charismatic Mission International’s birthday; it’s been 28 years since CMI opened its doors in the living room of our home. I love this church, and I thank God for each person that belongs to the CMI family!
Also, today March 19th my daughter Rachel is celebrating her 1st birthday. Today I would like to dedicate these words to every woman than may be pregnant, awaiting the arrival of a baby.
Rachel’s pregnancy led me to pray in the following way, “Lord, I want to live your original thought for pregnancy” and every day I prayed the same way. God answered my prayer! Pregnancy is a time to be enjoyed, so that it may be the best experience of your life! When I was 2 months pregnant I was beginning to swell, I had many illnesses of pregnancy. During those days I was at a conference in California. There I entered into covenant, brought a special offering to the Lord and asked for my weight and health.
The pregnancy I lived was God’s original idea, because I enjoyed it thoroughly! The time came to have my beautiful baby girl, during the night of my labor I was at home and every hour I began to feel the baby moving down, I wasn’t in any type of pain. That was a night of prayer, each hour I would wake up and I would speak to God, I asked Him to allow me to experience His original idea. I had Bible verses, promises that God had given me for Rachel’s life.
I felt it was time to go to the hospital, we dropped my daughter Shailoh off at my mother’s house, and my husband, Eliemerson, and I headed to the hospital. In the car I felt a very hard contraction, something I had never felt, at that time I opened my mouth, and I rejected it, I didn’t accept it. “This pregnancy is God’s original idea.” I only had that one contraction, we got to the hospital, which was about 20 minutes from my house. When I went in to register, they thought I was so calm that they thought they would send me home. When the nurse checked to see how far along I was, surprisingly she found that I had dilated to 9 centimeter (a baby is born at 10 centimeters). She looked at me and said, “If your water had broken at home, the baby would of been born there”. I was surprised, I didn’t know how far along I really was. Then everything was happening so fast. When my doctor came, she said, “Johanna, the time has come!” it was 11:30 am, and at 11:33 am my daughter Rachel was in my arms. My prayer had been answered, God gave me the strength of the Hebrew women, and everything I declared over my body I experienced that day. My pregnancy had been God’s original idea.
To us Rachel means multiplication. That’s why we gave her the name of Jacob’s wife, who later became Israel. Their nature was to multiply! From the moment she came to our family, she has brought that blessing and we have grown in every possible way!
So today, let’s declare: "God chose me, called me, gave me a promise, I believed it, and He multiplied me”.
